Our journey in the world of scenic art began over 34 years ago, guided by the skilled hands and artistic vision of Larry Spurlock. With more than three decades of experience as a seasoned lead scenic artist, Larry Spurlock has left an indelible mark on countless productions in the New Orleans area, transforming blank spaces into vibrant worlds that captivate - and fool- the senses. 

I, Sandra Spurlock, inherited not only the passion for scenic artistry but also the determination to push the boundaries of creativity. Having grown up around the film industry, my journey naturally led me to follow in Larry Spurlock's footsteps.

With a penchant for detail painting and a background in fine art, I've had the privilege to collaborate on numerous projects, each presenting a unique opportunity to breathe life into the ordinary and turn it into the extraordinary. 

At Spurlock Scenics, we believe that paint makes movie magic. Every project is an opportunity to transform a space. We don't just create scenes; we create experiences, memories that linger long after the credits roll.

Sandra Spurlock has also worked on a number of productions including Secrets of Sulphur Springs (2021), Five Days at Memorial (2021), Leverage: Redemption (2022), The Winchesters (2023), The Color Purple (Le Petit Theatre) 2022- 2023, and commercials. 

In November of 2022, Spurlock Scenics painted a mural for Kingsley Bate, a luxury outdoor furniture company, at Americasmart Atlanta.
